The analytical center We Build Ukraine, in partnership with the Charitable Foundation «Разом з Кернел» and the Центр аналізу політики «ЗМІСТ», within the framework of the «Спроможні» community development platform, is launching the project “PPP for Ukraine’s Recovery: From Diagnosing Systemic Barriers to Developing Solutions.”

The goal of the project is to help Ukrainian communities gain practical knowledge of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms and learn how to prepare projects capable of attracting investments, partnerships, and additional resources for community development.

Public-private partnership opens opportunities for communities to implement projects in infrastructure, energy, utilities, social services, and other areas of development, even when their own budget resources are insufficient. At the same time, for many communities this mechanism still remains difficult due to the lack of practical experience and understanding of how to work with potential partners and investors.

As part of the project, community representatives will be able to take part in a free 4-day online training program, during which they will receive:

🔹 practical knowledge of PPP mechanisms
🔹 knowledge of working with potential investors and partners
🔹 an understanding of how to prepare strong projects for implementation
🔹 an opportunity to learn together with industry practitioners and experts
🔹 experience in developing real-life cases for their communities

After the completion of the training stage, 20 communities will be selected to participate in the “PPP School.” Together with experts, participants will work on developing practical cases and public-private partnership models tailored to the needs of their communities.

The next stage will be an in-person pitching session, during which communities will present their projects to donors, partners, and experts.

The best-performing community and project will receive additional funding from the Charitable Foundation «Разом з Кернел» to develop a preliminary feasibility study for the project.
