The project combines practical steps with a long-term development vision, taking into account both Ukraine’s national interests and the objectives of the European Green Deal. Its results will form the basis for creating a clear roadmap for biofuels development, strengthening international partnerships, and attracting investment. In the longer term, this will enable Ukraine to become an important supplier of sustainable fuels for the European maritime sector.
Key areas of the project include:
- conducting a comprehensive market study of the production and use of green biofuels in Ukraine, with a focus on the maritime sector, and preparing a strategic roadmap;
- organizing a Ukrainian–Danish workshop or study visit to Denmark to exchange experience and best practices in the field of biofuels;
- holding a Ukrainian–Danish conference “From Vision to Action: A Practical Roadmap for the Development of Biofuels and the Transformation of Ukraine’s Maritime Sector”;
- preparing a final analytical report with recommendations and an action plan for integrating biofuels into Ukraine’s maritime sector.
