The international M-01 highway Kyiv–Chernihiv, a national road of strategic importance, connects Ukraine with the Scandinavian countries, the Baltic States, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Greece. This highway plays a vital role in Ukraine’s integrated transport network. In the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine, this route has become a key logistical artery linking the northern regions with the capital and the central part of the country. The project is co-financed by the EIB and the EBRD.
