The event brought together representatives of the government, the security and defense sector, профильних state bodies, business, and industry associations. Among the participants were Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Havryliuk, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vitalii Kindrativ, as well as representatives of the National Security and Defense Council, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Service of Export Control, and industry.

The discussion focused on a key challenge for the sector — the gap between the production capacity of Ukraine’s defense industry and the actual volume of state orders. In the context of limited budget resources, this creates risks of underutilized production, loss of technologies, workforce reductions, and declining investment in development.

Participants emphasized that exports and international cooperation are important tools for preserving the sector’s production, technological, and human capital. At the same time, the development of the export direction requires coordinated decisions between the state and business, clear regulatory mechanisms, and guarantees of prioritizing the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
